In cases where you are connected to the WiFi network, but cannot reach websites on the internet, please check the following:

Check for Cellular Connection

Your device needs a cellular signal in order to connect to the internet.

4G Smart Router: Check for a green indicator light on the device that looks like a cellular signal: (A T shape, with 3 bars next to it T|||) If the indicator is solid, or flashing, then you have a cellular connection. Continue to Power cycle Your Device. 4G Smart MiFi: Check for a green indicator light on the device that says 3G/4G, If the indicator is solid, or flashing, then you have a cellular connection. Continue to Power cycle Your Device. If the indicator is not illuminated, try continuing to power cycle your device, and also check the Coverage Map to make sure you're in an area with cellular coverage.

Power cycle Your Device

One of the simplest ways to restore your connection is to simply power your device completely off, and leave it off for at least two minutes. This will ensure the connection is also terminated at the tower, so you can establish a fresh, new connection. After two minutes, you can power the device back online, allowing it to fully complete its startup process, then testing for connection. If this restores your connection to the internet, you can stop troubleshooting here. If you're still not able to connect, follow the next tips, or chat with us.

Check the Sim Card holder

Sometimes the sim card can become misaligned or loose from travel or movement. Check to ensure your sim card is firmly, and properly installed in the device.

4G Smart Router:

First, power off your 4G Smart Router by removing the power cord. The sim card is located on the bottom of the device, below an access door. Once it has fully restarted, test your connection. Chat with us for further assistance if your connection is not restored.

4G Smart MiFi:

First, power off your 4G Smart MiFi by removing the power cord, and pressing and holding the power button until all the LED indicators are off. The sim card is located on the side of the device, below an access door. Open the access door and press the sim card into the device, and it will automatically bounce back out. Remove the sim card, replace the sim card by pushing it back in until you hear or feel it click. Replace the access door, and re-apply power to the device. Once it has fully restarted, test your connection. Chat with us for further assistance if your connection is not restored.
